Growing up surrounded by temples and mountains, I take the “Mountain Spirit” as the core of this collection, exploring the mysterious connection between traditional beliefs and nature. The work draws upon the solemnity of Ba Jia Jiang facial painting and the dynamic aesthetics of Taiwanese opera, combined with the microscopic structures of insects. The intricate layers of traditional Chinese opera costumes are transformed into a contemporary sense of sculptural form. This collection is not merely a tribute to tradition, but an attempt to seek a new evolution and rebirth for the spirit of ancient culture within the urban forest.
