In an age where brand worship and consumer desire are deeply intertwined, vanity gradually becomes something that feeds on the human psyche. In the pursuit of trends and external validation, the individual quietly begins to lose their sense of self.

Ectopic transforms this invisible social psychology into a tangible visual language. Steel chains construct and support the garment’s external framework, functioning both as structural elements and as symbols of the values that bind and restrain us. Specialised fabrics are heat-moulded and coated with epoxy resin, causing once-soft fibres to harden and solidify into a shell corroded by desire. Stitching spreads across the surface like a parasite, becoming entangled with the chains and fabric. Crystalline growths emerge from ruptures like sores, continuing to multiply beneath a beautiful exterior. They represent the relentless expansion of material desire and vanity, ultimately becoming a weight that imprisons the soul.

Ectopic portrays a person gradually consumed by brands, materialism, and vanity. When all value is built upon external recognition, what remains is little more than a beautiful yet hollow shell.
