Shih-Hao Wang is a teacher skilled in the flexible use of various tools. He possesses a strong mastery of garment construction and production, having been invited multiple times to serve as a judge and chief judge for national costume technique exams. He currently leads the garment construction courses in the Department of Fashion Design. Wang's expertise also extends deeply into the field of knitting; he has studied weaving techniques at Shima Seiki in Japan and often develops unique weaving methods for his creative works, aiming to inspire more creativity in his students. Additionally, Wang is proficient in applying digital garment simulation in the design process.


His designs are characterized by flexibility, which is carefully executed into practical products thanks to his expertise. He has held static fashion exhibitions, such as Coast, Spider Lily/Fashion Creation Solo Exhibition and Blazing/Fashion Creation Solo Exhibition at Kishu-an, showcasing his detailed style. In 2023 and 2024, he also created large-scale, fun, and educational works for the Dinosaur Exhibition at the Taichung National Museum of Natural Science. In dynamic exhibitions, Wang has participated in and co-organized events like the National Palace Museum’s Tonight, Let’s Have Fun at the National Palace Museum fashion show and the 2022 Formal Wear Moments. He has also designed performance costumes for the Riverbed Theatre Group. His design style is diverse and unconstrained.


In teaching, Wang is known for his great patience. His teaching philosophy is to help students develop the ability to turn creativity into tangible products, encouraging them to not be confined to a single field but to be grounded while observing the broader world.
