This summer, Shih Chien University took fashion education to a whole new level by flying 16 students across the globe for an unforgettable 10 day experience in Lodon, which included an upcycling workshop at the prestigious Instituto Marangoni.
So, what made this trip so special? Beyond the classroom, students dived deep into the cultural and creative heart of one of the world's fashion capitals. They visited London's top museums and iconic tourist attractions, experiencing firsthand the energy and history that makes the city a global trendsetter.
One of the highlights was an exclusive visit to the Maurice Sedwell Tailors Academy on Savile Row, where students marveled at the craftsmanship of bespoke tailoring—a rare opportunity that broadened their understanding of luxury fashion. They also toured renowned institutions like the London College of Fashion (LCF) and Central Saint Martins (CSM), gaining insight into the different pathways that shape the future of fashion.
But it wasn’t all about academics! The trip offered a perfect blend of learning and leisure, giving students time to explore the vibrant streets of London, from eclectic markets to chic boutiques, and immerse themselves in the city’s rich cultural tapestry.
