Anli Lin
Creative Director
I’m Anli Lin, a graduate of Shih Chien University’s Fashion Design Department in 2010, and currently the Creative Director for Lazy Shoes, a brand I co-founded in 2022. My journey has been anything but conventional. After graduating, I spent several years in Taiwan working in design, marketing, and visual merchandising for two accessories brands. In 2013, I decided to broaden my horizons and pursued a Master's in Fashion Marketing at LIM College in New York. There, I interned with Kenneth Cole, which opened the doors to my next step—moving to Los Angeles as a Footwear Designer in 2014. By 2015, I had relocated to China, where I’ve been working with an American company, honing my skills in footwear design and product development.
The most crucial turning point in my career was leaving Taiwan to study and work internationally. I learned a lot about marketing in the U.S. and about production in China. These experiences shifted my perspective on design and the importance of ensuring products meet business goals and consumer satisfaction. Today, I manage design work across three brands, working remotely and frequently traveling between Taiwan, China, and the U.S. Despite my focus on concept development, I still enjoy designing and communicating the brand’s direction to various teams. It's fulfilling to bring an idea to life and see how it resonates with customers.

Educational Highlight
One of the most valuable classes I took at Shih Chien University was in fashion marketing and product development. This class helped me bridge the gap between creativity and the commercial side of fashion. It made me realize the importance of understanding both design and business, which is critical in today’s fast-paced industry. I often think back to those lessons when working with different teams or making strategic decisions for Lazy Shoes. It gave me a well-rounded skill set that I use every day.
