Dian-Jen Lin
Co-founder & CEO
Hi, I’m Dian-Jen Lin, a 2014 graduate from Shih Chien University. After graduation, I worked in various roles within the textile, fashion, and design industries across the US, France, and Taiwan. It didn’t take long for me to realise the negative environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry, which left me disillusioned. Everything changed when I applied for a master’s degree in costume design but was instead accepted into a fashion sustainability program. This shift aligned my values with my life purpose and gave me a new direction.
Today, I’m the Co-founder and CEO of Post Carbon Lab, a biotech/textech company that offers sustainable colour and finishing solutions using microbes and bio-based ingredients to help the textile industry reduce petrochemical reliance. It’s been a journey full of twists and turns, but one I’m truly grateful for.

Educational Highlight
One of the most memorable moments during my time at SCFD was working on my final graduate project. It involved a lot of experimentation, and while my approach wasn’t fully understood by my teacher at the time, I believed in the potential of what I was doing. Despite being encouraged to start over, I decided to continue pursuing my idea after graduation. That decision paid off when my project went on to win the Kering Award for Sustainable Fashion, supported by Stella McCartney and the Natural History Museum. If you ever feel like your ideas aren’t fully appreciated, it could be that you’re simply ahead of the curve—trust your truths and don’t give up!
