REQUIRED COURSE

This course serves as an essential introduction to design thinking, laying the groundwork for a creative and innovative mindset. It challenges students to break away from conventional design approaches and embrace a more liberated, experimental way of thinking. Through a series of structured projects, students are encouraged to explore and express their creativity, pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional design methods.

The projects are carefully crafted to engage with a variety of design challenges across two and three dimensions, involving considerations of space, materials, processes, multimedia, and construction techniques. By confronting these diverse design issues, students develop the ability to think critically and creatively, finding innovative solutions that reflect their unique perspectives. This course is designed to cultivate a strong foundation in design thinking, empowering students to approach future design tasks with confidence and originality.
